Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about finding, comparing, and implementing NetSuite solutions through NS Marketplace.
About NS Marketplace
General questions about the platform
What is NS Marketplace?
NS Marketplace is the independent hub for the NetSuite ecosystem. We help NetSuite admins, developers, and decision-makers discover verified extensions, scripts, integrations, and services — all in one place. Our AI-powered search analyzes 800+ solutions to match your exact needs.
Is NS Marketplace free to use?
Yes, creating an account and searching for solutions is completely free. You can browse apps, use our AI search, contact vendors, and compare solutions at no cost. Vendors pay for premium listings and enhanced visibility.
How is NS Marketplace different from SuiteApp.com?
NS Marketplace aggregates solutions from multiple sources — not just Oracle's official SuiteApp directory. We include community-built scripts, third-party integrations, Chrome extensions, implementation partners, and indie tools. Plus, our AI search understands your problem and recommends solutions, rather than just matching keywords.
Can I contact vendors directly through the platform?
Yes. You can message multiple vendors from one place, compare their proposals side by side, and choose the best fit for your NetSuite instance. All your conversations stay centralized on the platform.
Finding & Comparing Solutions
How to discover the right NetSuite apps
How does the AI search work?
Describe your challenge in natural language — for example, "I need to automate bank reconciliation for multiple subsidiaries." Our AI analyzes your query against 800+ indexed solutions, considers features, pricing, reviews, and compatibility, then returns personalized recommendations with explanations of why each solution fits.
What types of solutions can I find?
Our marketplace includes SuiteApps (Built for NetSuite certified), SuiteScript solutions, third-party integrations and connectors (iPaaS), Chrome extensions for NetSuite, implementation and consulting services, and community-built tools and scripts.
How do I compare two solutions?
Use our comparison pages to see two solutions side by side. You can compare features, pricing, vendor reputation, and user reviews. Visit any app page and click "Compare" or go directly to /compare/app1-vs-app2.
Are the solutions verified?
We verify vendors through our publisher program. Verified vendors display a badge on their listings. While we vet publishers, we always recommend doing your own due diligence — request demos, check references, and test in a sandbox environment before committing.
NetSuite Integration Basics
Common questions about NetSuite apps and integrations
What is a SuiteApp?
A SuiteApp is an application built on the NetSuite platform using SuiteCloud development tools. SuiteApps that pass Oracle's review process receive "Built for NetSuite" (BFN) certification, meaning they meet quality, security, and compatibility standards. They install directly into your NetSuite account.
What is the difference between a SuiteApp and a third-party integration?
A SuiteApp runs natively inside NetSuite and is built with SuiteScript/SuiteCloud. A third-party integration connects NetSuite to external systems (like Shopify, Salesforce, or shipping carriers) typically through APIs, middleware, or iPaaS platforms like Celigo or Workato. Both are valid approaches depending on your needs.
Will installing an app affect my NetSuite performance?
Well-built SuiteApps are designed to minimize performance impact. However, poorly written scripts can affect page load times and governance limits. Always test new solutions in a sandbox environment first, review the vendor's documentation on performance, and monitor your account after installation.
How do I install a SuiteApp?
Most SuiteApps are installed through the SuiteApp Marketplace within NetSuite (Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles). Some vendors provide direct installation links. Third-party integrations typically require configuration through the vendor's platform and connecting to NetSuite via API tokens or OAuth.
For Vendors & Publishers
Questions about listing your solution
How do I list my app on NS Marketplace?
Create a free account, then go to your dashboard to submit your app for review. You'll need to provide a description, screenshots, pricing information, and category. Our team reviews submissions within a few business days. Once approved, your listing goes live.
What are the publisher tiers?
NS Marketplace is free for all vendors right now — unlimited listings, messaging, and visibility with no credit card. Paid visibility tiers (extra placement, analytics, and lead qualification) launch later in 2026. Visit our pricing page for details.
How do I claim my existing listing?
If your app is already indexed on NS Marketplace, you can claim it by creating an account and verifying your ownership. Go to your dashboard, find the app, and follow the claim process. This gives you control over the listing details, screenshots, and vendor messaging.
