The data is what makes the go-live slip

Most NetSuite implementations quietly drop history. The kickoff deck says "full transaction history." The SOW says trial balance and open AR/AP. The client finds out in month three, when they can't run a year-over-year comparison in the system they just bought.

It isn't laziness. Getting history out of QuickBooks or Xero means CSV imports that fail on NetSuite's 83-character name limit, items that are unique in QuickBooks and duplicates in NetSuite, sales receipts with no customer on them, customer payments that span more than one A/R account, and a trial balance that's out by a rounding error with no way to find which record caused it. Priced honestly, that's a six-figure line item and hundreds of hours of manual reconciliation — so it gets cut, and everyone agrees to call opening balances "the migration."

What SuiteMigration does

Connect QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Enterprise, or Xero over OAuth. SuiteMigration validates the source data against NetSuite's actual data model, maps records and metadata, pushes to a NetSuite sandbox as a dry run, then pushes to production — and reconciles every pushed record back against the source it came from.

Chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items and inventory, invoices, bills, payments, journal entries, open AR/AP, full historical transactions, custom fields. Relationships between records are preserved, not flattened.

Find the problems before you quote the project

Every migration starts with a free Migration Readiness Audit: a validation scan of the client's QuickBooks or Xero org against NetSuite's import rules, run before anyone signs anything. It flags the records that will fail — duplicate item names, over-length descriptions, multiple email addresses on one contact, transactions posting to the wrong account type — and returns a white-labeled report you can hand to the client under your own brand. No cost, no credit card, and you can run as many as you want.

How you know it actually worked

Trial balance reports, period by period, reconciled to the source.
Per-record audit: every customer, vendor, invoice, bill, and payment verified individually against the system it came from.
Every mapping change, push, error, and retry is logged.
Unlimited sandbox pushes before production, so cutover is a repeat of a rehearsal.

For NetSuite implementation partners

Migration is the highest-risk, lowest-margin line in most SOWs, and the one most likely to blow the timeline. Bring SuiteMigration in as the migration layer and keep everything else — the client relationship, the billing, the scope — entirely yours. There's no reseller structure and no revenue split. Partners consolidating multiple source orgs into one NetSuite instance (up to ~30 QuickBooks Online orgs) are supported directly, as is partner-level billing across clients. Most consultancies are onboarded within a week.

NetSuite to NetSuite

Consolidating two NetSuite instances after an acquisition is a supported source path and available today for early engagements. It's newer than the QuickBooks and Xero paths and we scope it as a beta — worth a conversation if that's your project.

Pricing

Priced per migration, not per seat. Unlimited users, unlimited sandbox and production pushes, and support are included in the price. Trial-balance-only migrations are the lowest tier; full transaction history costs more; price scales with the number of source orgs being consolidated. Quoted after a short scoping call — the Readiness Audit stays free either way.
